Here I am on Cortes island, day 3. This is the most beautiful place i think i have ever been. Staying at a house overlooking the ocean and mountain range, which one, i couldnt say, but what i do know is that it is serene and comforting.
There is a garden, the likes of which i cant explain. Lush, rich and full of foods and flowers. Palm trees, banana trees and gigantic wolf spiders abound.
We are staying with Gavin and Claudia and Gavin's daughter. It is getting dark and the sunset behind the mountains was breathtaking. Went to a sandy beach, but the weather hasn't exactly been co-operating.
The Cortes Arts Festival was lots of fun and the music was pretty great. Torrential rain and wind the past 2 days was insane, knocking out power on the island for a few hours this morning.
This is where I'd like to retire or raise children, if i ever have any...
